Dallas Hotels
If you are planning a trip to Dallas for work or play, your hotel accommodations are probably the most important arrangement you will make. However, there are a few things to consider before you make a decision on your hotel. First of all and most obviously, you should know what you want to see and where exactly you plan to visit on your trip. For example, if you intend to visit Dallas for business purposes and will spend most of your time in the downtown convention center area, a downtown Dallas hotel is probably the best choice. Hotels in downtown Dallas are plentiful in all areas, but can be pricey as well.
Let’s say that you decide you would like to stay in downtown Dallas or the immediate surrounding area. Now it is time to consider your pocket book. You should know that where you intend to stay will greatly affect the amount you should plan to spend on a hotel. If you plan to stay in the heart of the business district, you can expect to pay BIG bucks! For example, the Dallas Adolphus hotel is a premier and historic full service luxury hotel in downtown Dallas. It is the perfect corporate hotel and is conveniently located to the convention center. Some other excellent choices in the downtown area are the Magnolia, the Fairmont and the Melrose Hotels. These hotels are not for the budget minded traveler, but are worth every dime spent. Probably the best hotel for business travelers and anyone that is attending one of the numerous conventions held in Dallas each year is the Adams Mark Hotel. The Dallas Adams Mark was created specifically for the business traveler and provides everything necessary to pull off a large event. If you prefer to stay just outside of downtown Dallas, the hotel Anatole and the hotel Palomar are full service luxury hotels that cater more to the leisure traveler. The Palomar Hotel is a sophisticated boutique hotel and costs a pretty penny.
One other thing to keep in mind is that Dallas offers many extended stay hotels for travelers or business professionals that plan to stay for a week or more. Furthermore, if your budget will not allow for the luxury full service hotels, Dallas has many budget and discount hotel choices for you. I would advise to try searching for Dallas hotels online through companies such as Hotwire, Hotels.com and Nextag. Taking the time to do this can get you a great discount on a much nicer hotel than you could normally afford.
