Known for being a honeymooners paradise and hideaway, Gatlinburg offers the best in luxury and romance. Gatlinburg Tennessee is nestled on the banks of the Little Pigeon River and is year round getaway for families and couples alike. Whether you are looking for great boating or exciting ski slopes, Gatlinburg has got it.

Deciding where to stay in such a town can be a daunting task. There are so many hotels and resorts to choose from, it can be very hard to choose the best one. You can choose from hotels located in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg, making for a more historic setting; or you can nestle yourself further out in the mountains and enjoy nature.

The Edgewater Hotel is one of my favorite Gatlinburg hotels. It is a full service luxury hotel and conference center located at the Aquarium. It offers the best in convenience, fun and affordability. In fact, the Edgewater Hotel Gatlinburg offers value packages for just about everyone, from golf and ski lovers to honeymooners at very reasonable prices.

No matter what time of year you travel, the Gatlinburg Edgewater Hotel offers amenities you can use such as an indoor pool and hot tubs.

Another hotel I like is the Park Vista. It is located near downtown Gatlinburg and right next to the Smokey Mountain National Park. This hotel, like the Edgewater hotel, offers grand wedding packages. However I see the Park Vista hotel as more of a family getaway than for lovers despite its gorgeous interior. The view is spectacular and the multi-tiered indoor pool is a big attraction for the kids. Like most Gatlinburg Tennessee hotels, the Park Vista hotel offers special deals at different times of the year. Unfortunately, the website does not list the specifics so you have to call and talk to an agent.

If you intend to visit a pricier hotel in the Gatlinburg TN area and you want to save some nickels and dimes, try searching for available accommodations online through companies such as Hotwire, Hotels.com and Nextag. Taking the time to do this can get you a great discount on a much nicer hotel than you could normally afford. Hotels in Gatlinburg are especially booked during the summer and fall, or during peak wedding seasons. So, doing your research will pay off immensely here. Cheap hotels can be found if you are diligent in your search and flexible in your travel dates.
