Indianapolis Hotels
If you are planning a trip to Indianapolis, your hotel accommodations are probably the most important arrangement you will make. There are a few things to consider before you make a decision on your hotel. First of all and most obviously, you should know what you want to accomplish on your trip. For example, if you intend to visit Indianapolis for business, hotels in the downtown area or even near the airport are by far the most convenient. However, if you have plans to visit the surrounding areas of Indianapolis and just plan to visit downtown for a small time, you will save a lot of money by staying outside of the city. Hotels in Indianapolis are a dime a dozen. You are sure to find the one that will be most beneficial to you no matter what your plans are.
After you have decided on your destination and analyze your agenda, you will need to consider your pocket book. You should know that where you intend to stay would greatly affect the amount you should plan to spend on a hotel. For example, if you plan to stay downtown, you can expect to pay significantly more than staying in most suburbs. In fact in some cases, three to four times more. Take the Conrad Hotel in downtown Indianapolis. It is a full service luxury hotel and spa owned by Hilton. It is a 23-story hotel with several private luxury penthouses. Or another example is the Indianapolis Canterbury Hotel, which is quite possibly one of the worlds most elegant and luxurious hotels. It too is located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. If you prefer to stay in a hotel near the airport, the Airport Radisson Hotel is an excellent choice. The airport Radisson offers the ultimate in comfort by providing guests with Sleep Number beds by Select Comfort, work desks and even a Starbucks coffee shop. Although still not a discount hotel by any means, it is less expensive than some of the downtown Indianapolis hotel options.
One perk that Indianapolis is quite known for are pet friendly hotels, there are many. If you intend to stay in discount hotel chains such as Super 8, Red Roof Inn, or Motel 6, your pet is more than welcome. However surprisingly, many mid to upper class hotels in the Indianapolis area also welcome pets. A few Indianapolis hotels worth mentioning would be the Sheraton, the Westin, TownePlace Suites, Staybridge Suites and Best Western.
